A forward of exceptional talent who is also able to play
just behind the main strikers due to his high energy levels,
he prefers to be fielded in the centre or on the left
wing.
His greatest assets are his speed of execution and ingenious
creativity, but Morfeo also possesses a great vision that
he uses to make valuable passes to team-mates. Morfeo
made his Serie A debut in 1993/94 as an Atalanta player
and in the following season with the same club made his
mark on the domestic football scene.
At the end of the 1994/95 season, Morfeo, still a teenager,
had notched up 20 Serie A appearances and scored 11 goals,
a personal record that remains unbeaten.
After five seasons at Atalanta, four as a first team regular,
Morfeo changed shirt no less than eight times over the
following five seasons. After transferring from Atalanta
to Fiorentina, Morfeo moved to AC Milan, then back to
Fiorentina before signing for Cagliari. The player then
had stints at Verona, Fiorentina and Atalanta before rejoining
Fiorentina again last season. |
